Many Web Hosts will offer to submit your site to the search engines automatically.  You can't get simpler than that.  Make sure that they submit to the big search engines, particularly Google. 

If you have an established site, you may not want to submit your site by using an automated method.  Google, for instance, has a policy against automated site submission programs.

Instead, you may want to submit your site to each search engine individually and by hand.  By doing it that way, you ensure that you submit accurately and according to search engine rules.
